Over the years, the Rat Race has evolved into one of the best and largest international paragliding events by providing pilots with what they want, a quality event making them a better pilot while having a fantastic time.
In addition to the Rat Race, and the Rat Race Sprint we offer a top notch Super Clinic for P3 or above (P2 pilots with at least 50 flights, 15 hours of air time & 10 high altitude flights.) who want exceptional training which is not centered around a competition format. Also recommended are: some experience with thermal activity, and proficiency with kiting launching/landing skills.
Ken Hudonjorgensen and Kari Castle will head-up the "Super Clinic" and guide pilots through one of the most comprehensive training weeks ever. Entrants will train in the morning, and then watch the Rat Race/Rat Race Sprint competition action from the top of Woodrat Mountain mid-day. After the race competitors are off, Super Clinic participants will have virtually the entire Mountain to themselves where they can train and fly one of the best paragliding sites in the world.
Ken and Kari are world class instructors who have decades of experience training paragliding pilots. They have an amazing foot-launched history which includes competition and record attempts. The instruction team will be unforgettable.
The Super Clinic will provide class room training in the morning then participants will receive advanced training along with the Race/Sprint competitors in the evening if time allows. Lunches will be provided as well as several organized evening gatherings that will allow interaction with some of the best pilots in the world.
Expect great flying, terrific training, lunches, parties, transportation up and down the hill, along with camping/lodging nearby. The Super Clinic is an unforgettable experience and value.
Woodrat Mt. was named one of the best 25 paragliding sites in the world. Come train with the best at the best place during the annual Rat Race Paragliding Competition.
